With Civil Rights being a major, divisive issue in the sixties, Bertram Fitzgerald formed Fitzgerald Publishing and put out the first issue of GOLDEN LEGACY, a comic book on African-American history. That was the only issue that came out in 1966 but the comic would continue occasionally for another decade.
