Doctor Who Annual

  1. I first saw this annual at a neighbour's house in the summer of 1972 or 73. It was perplexing since, at that age, I considered myself something of a Who expert. I was very surprised to eventually discover that all the beasties on the cover had actually appeared on tv.

This annual still has an allure for me today but not as much as the first Troughton edition, two years later!

  2. Walter Howarth was the artist - he died about four years back. Although this was the first Doctor Who Annual, the second is worth more because the print-run was far less, making it rarer. I'm lucky enough to have this first Annual.
