One of my favorite DC Comics house ads from my earliest days of collecting! This appeared in the April '66 issue of ADVENTURE COMICS. Right now, our companion blog, DAYS OF ADVENTURE, is revisiting all of the 1966 issues of ADVENTURE COMICS.
There's no doubt that DC had some of the most compelling ads. I used to lust after these oddball comics as a kid.
I've gotten more than a few comics over the years just because that cover called out to me long ago in some ad. The comic rarely lives up to what I imagined it to be, but then that's the nature of things generally right.
