Jefferson Airplane Posters

It was around 1965-66 when concert posters began aspiring to be more than a simple description of who, what, when and where. Quickly, throughout '66 and through the remainder of the decade, they became an art form unto themselves with designers becoming as well-known as some of the music groups. Here we see a string of Jefferson Airplane posters from throughout '66.

  1. I still happen to have the yellow background Jefferson Airplane poster. I have no idea if it's the "real deal" or not, or anyway of knowing. Iirc, I bought it in Texas back in the day at maybe a Worlds Fair or something like that.

  2. Hated that "organic" bulbous font then, and hate it now . . . but thanks for the memories!
