A Man Called Adam

One of the most recognizable black men in entertainment during the peak years of the civil rights struggles, the multi-talented Sammy Davis Jr here gives an earnest performance as a troubled jazz trumpeter, supported by friends like Peter Lawford, Mel Torme and Frank Sinatra, Jr as well as a who's who of African-American stars and future stars that includes Ossie Davis, Cicely Tyson, Louis Armstrong, Ja'net DuBois, George Kirby and even a walk-on by Morgan Freeman in what was only his second film.
