Popular enough to run three years, PLEASE DON'T EAT THE DAISIES was a family sitcom based on the Doris Day vehicle of 1960 (itself based on a book, play, etc.) Patricia Crowley starred and was a favorite of mine ever after when I saw her in anything.
Actually, it ran only two seasons...and the only reason it got a second one is that Danny Thomas pulled the plug on a sitcom he was producing that was committed to the NBC schedule, and the network plugged DAISIES into the slot (where it bombed against Jackie Gleason, who got a big ratings boost when he revived THE HONEYMOONERS as part of his current show).
