Twiggy

Dubbed "The Face of 1966" by London's DAILY MIRROR, it was hard not to see her big-eyed, waifish look everywhere that year. TV, newspapers, print ads, commercials.

  1. Have to be honest, she never rung my bell. Seems curiously un-sexy. Whatever were they thinking?

  2. Twiggy reminds me of those big-eyed kid paintings from the '60's and '70's. http://tinyurl.com/bigeyedkids

  3. This was the 6os man! She was thin, androgynous, & mod. Anti-full figured fifties.

  4. I understood Twiggy didn't burst onto the American consciousness until '67.
